Career Services Advisor (Remote)

The Role:
As a Career Services Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in the success of our students and graduates by connecting them with career opportunities and fostering employer relationships. You’ll report to the Director of Career Services and collaborate cross-functionally with academic and student support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
**Graduate Success & Job Placement**
- Guide graduates in job searches: refine resumes, develop job leads, and conduct follow-ups to secure placements.
- Track and verify graduate employment data, including waivers and employer details.
- Deliver actionable insights on job market trends, interview techniques, and professional etiquette.
- Meet or exceed placement goals through proactive outreach and employer engagement.
**Student & Extern Support**
- Lead career development workshops (résumé building, interview prep) for students and externs.
- Conduct exit interviews and needs assessments to align support with individual goals.
- Manage externship placements, ensuring sites meet educational standards and facilitate hiring opportunities.
- Commit to hosting 1 online sharing session per month to engage members with career tips, industry insights, or Q&A opportunities.
**Employer & Partnership Development**
- Cultivate relationships with employers and extern sites to expand job opportunities.
- Maintain an employer database (CampusVue) and gather feedback via surveys and interviews.
- Collaborate on Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings to align curriculum with industry needs.
REQUIREMENT
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) with proven coaching or advisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in career services, recruiting, staffing, sales, or customer service.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Preferred:
- Experience in vocational/college career placement or staffing agencies.
- Familiarity with CampusNexus or similar CRM platforms.
